This is good news. The stories about what happened to the minorities in the last election (even if it was only a handful) were disgusting.

Read Vanity Fair this month with Jude Law on the front. A full story on the Florida "Debacle."

Groups of Republican protesters banged on doors and windows outside the recount offices, those people were not party voters, but Republican staffers told to cause a rucus.

Superior Court Clerks were appalled, shocked and disappointed that the superior court, a susposed bi-partisan entity, was going to decide the election.

On both sides lawyers converged on Florida like a Hurricane and ultimately the Republicans won the law battle.

Very Very Very interesting article....

As well as the stories about what happened to some elderly voters.

Yes, I was kind of lumping them in as a 'minorty group', didn't mean just ETHNIC minorities. I meant all the groups that had voting problems.

Oh, I wasn't suggesting that you were ignoring the elderly and pointing toward race or anything.

Lol, just to add some fat to the fire, it seems a few individuals were angry about this.

Guess who?

Yup, Republican law makers...

' The letters drew outrage from many Republican lawmakers in the House of Representatives. They promptly attached an amendment to the 2005 foreign-aid bill banning the use of any of that money to finance UN monitoring of the election.

"For over 200 years, this nation has conducted elections fairly and impartially, ensuring that each person's vote will count," said Rep. Stephen Buyer during debate on the floor of the House of Representatives. "Imagine going to your polling place on the morning of November 2 and seeing blue-helmeted foreigners inside your local library, school or fire station." '

The letters they speak of were letters to the UN and Kofi Annan

That's right, don't want Jeb Bush (a founder of the PNAC) handing another election over to his big brother.

:P
