Default Mass murder in Ontario, 8 dead...biker related?

They would not comment on early reports that the victims were members of a biker gang who were shot and dumped at the site on Friday or early Saturday morning.
So unusual to hear of these kind of things on canadian soil.

There has long been a biker presence in the London area, and there is currently a massive Hell's Angels trial taking place there at the moment. One of my grandfather's friends in St. Thomas is a defence lawyer for, among others, the Hell's Angels.

Yeah I read that one as well. Truly a fascinating read. I think many of us new about the biker wars in Quebec from some time ago but that book really exposes the presence of the Hells Angels all over Canada. Highly recommended.

Is it just me, or are these biker wars much more prominent in Canada than the US? I hardly hear of anything like this in the U.S (although that might just be my ignorance) and yet in Canada we see this crap in the news all the time.
Is there any particular reason for this difference?

Could it simply be the differing types of gangs in the two countries? I don't have any concrete evidence for this but in Canada the major gangs are things like Biker and Native gangs so naturally we hear more about them on the news. In the states however it seems like the news focuses more on African-American/Latin type gangs. Maybe I'm just talking out of my ass though.

This is pretty crazy. My parents live just outside St. Thomas and my cousin is a news reporter for the loval A-Channel.

They are not saying much yet, but they are leaning towards it being drug-related. I guess that stretch of road is a notorious meeting point for dealers in the Toronto-Windsor corridor. Pretty crazy stuff.

Looks like the 8 dead are all Banditos, making this a very obvious biker-related crime. I wonder who did the killing? There are a lot of biker gangs around that area of Ontario including the big guys like HA.

There's actually a pretty strong feud going on right now in LA between the Hells Angels and the Diablos - they had a shoot up at a casino in Reno not too long ago. Biker wars however are much more "low key" in comparison to the other types of gangs we hear about here on a daily basis.

If that is the case, its probably one of their puppet gangs. I don't think the big club likes to get its hands that close to the dirt...
