The Thrashers came out of Round 1 vs the Buffalo Sabres suffering a major season ending injury to starting and the CPHLs best goalie Patrick Lalime and still nursing his way back to health is 44 goal scorer Bill Guerin...a huge chunk of the teams offence in the regular season.
The Canes are without Doug Weight who has a pulled groin muscle, but could be ready for game 1 on Thursday.
The Thrashers will have to rely heavily on their defence and get more scoring by committee, unless Guerin is cleared to play by Thursday.
Coach and GM Peterson isnt worried putting Snow in nets as he has performed admirably during the season posting a 10-5 record and a better save % than Lalime at 2.30GAA.
