As they do every year on the day after March 31, the Sun breaks a major news story...

What's your favourite media-driven April Fool's Joke?
I remember back in the mid-80's the Sun had an ad for "MOLSUN BEER", which was a new technology for distributing dehydrated beer in the newspaper. The ad promised that if you cut out the sample (which was a bunch of brown dots inside a square on the page) and put it in a pitcher of water, it would turn into beer within 10 minutes.
Apparently, a lot of fools spent their day huddled over a pitcher of water with some newsprint floating in it.
I also remember the year we got Lanny from the Rockies, Ken Newans announced on the radio (back when radio stations had full-time sports reporters on during the morning news) that the League had discovered a discrepency with the paperwork of the trade and as a result, the Flames were being forced to forfeit all of their wins since the trade, and it meant they would miss the playoffs and Colorado (who were beyond horrible) would be in.
I was only 8 years-old and I was so mad. That night on the CFCN tv news, he apologized for it because he had spent all day fielding angry phone calls.
The Sun did something similar a few years back saying that Fleury had failed the League's "Height Test" and the Flames would be forced to forfeit their playoff berth. Little did they know, they Flames would "forfeiting" the playoffs for many years to come, and Theo would also find himself failing some League "tests" in the future as well.
