Default Stampeders sign 2 FA's from the 'Riders

http://www.stampeders.com/index.php?...splay&nid=7630

WR, and 2005 "all-star" Elijah Thurmon and LB (special teamer) Walter Spencer. Thurmon should challenge Ken-Yon Rambo for #3 position, and has a good friendship with QB Henry Burris...under an actual offensive system, Thurmon should thrive better than he did in Sask.

Spencer is a ST specialist, and lead the league last season in ST tackles.

Lookin' forward to what these guys bring to the R&W this year!! Training camp can't come soon enough (after the NHL playoffs, that is ).

Copeland, Lewis and Thurman? That is one damned good trifecta.

the more I think about it, it's not that it's too much of an upgrade on the receiving talent, but rather it's taking the #1 receiver (in 2005) away from a division rival...can't complain about that. Either way, it's a good signing.

After Cope, Lewis, and Thurman.....Rambo, Ralph, Jenkins, and Darnell McDonald round out the top 7 nicely. Potentially one of the best corps in the league. Also, Thurman is now our tallest WR at 6'4, something they were really missing. Great signing!

I know you have to be loving this one, calf. Anything to stick it in the eye of the rider, eh? I have a large group of friends who cheer for the green and I'm campaigning to have them all go to the game on August long and I want to set in the middle of all of them. It's gonna be great!

haha - not getting the jilted lover syndrome like last season, but I'm seeing a lot of 'he wasn't that good anyways'
