Default Metal Gear Solid 3 - anyone?

Just thinking of wasting many hours of my time, and so was thinking of picking up a game.

Anyone played this? It gets amazing reviews by the hardcore gamers, but can a casual fan get into it?

ok I not a huge gamer at all save any NHL game, but I picked up that game around Christmas last year, when it was new, got to say its one of the best I have ever played so good!, a lot of cinema and its makes a lot of ties to the first one but I would defiantly recommend it

I bought it a couple of weeks ago and, although I haven't played it that much yet, it seems like a very good game. It helps that I've played the other MGS games though. A casual gamer might not get into the game immediately.

However it must be said that TES Oblivion is taking up ALL of my gaming time right now. That is one awesome game for anyone with a 360 or a decent PC.

I thought it (Snake eater) was pretty phenomenal - took a bit of time to get used to the interface (quite a few things to learn how to do and to manage), but really, one of the best game experiences I've had on the PS2. I would consider picking up the new "Subsistence" version of the game if I were you - lots of bonus materials...

of course, God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and RE4 are all pretty phenomenal too...I'd recommend any of those games for PS2 owners.

God of War was definitely one of my favorites. Had even the girl I was seeing around that time wanting me to play so she could watch. Definitely weird, as opposed to hiding my little-g33k hobby...

flames89...

pretty sure you'd like MGS3 then...it is a "steathy" game, so it will be a lot different than God of War....but both have great backstories....

the sheer amount of interaction you can have in MSG3 is very impressive...what other game gives you a chance to smoke?
