I believe I saw a Maybach on deerfoot last friday
I was going south, he was heading north in the lane closest to the divider. I swear it was a Maybach, I recognized the curves on the front hood and the view from the side from those few seconds. Has anyone seen one in Calgary before? I know these are one of the most rare cars today, not hard to believe if you consider the oil. It was black of course....anyone?

I have seen Maybach's twice - although they were likely the same car... ?
Both last summer, once on 17th ave and once on 1st st W.
It was sweet, my gf wanted to follow them and see where they went. I suggested that might be kind of creepy.
Claeren.

I actually saw a silver one yesterday on 5th and 9th. It was behind me in the other lane so I let him come up and pass. Sweet car. License plate said "Envy Me".

I saw the same thing about a month ago (the license plate that is), except it was a Chrysler 300 IIRC and I laughed my arse off.

Apparently the Maybach isn't really selling that well. I guess when you are in that price range why by a glorified Benz, when you can get a Rolls or a Bentley, the ultimate sign of prestige and luxury?

When you live in the Detroit burbs, these are not rare sightings.

That's the kind of arrogance that gets the words "Envy me" etched into the side of your door with a key.... I hope he's not the type to park diagonally over two spots either.
Not that I support that - no one should ever mess with another man ride. That should be a capital crime.

Dad? Is that you? When did you start posting on CP?
Shazam, that was pretty funny. My dad makes lame jokes like that all the time. He does manage to crack me up, though.
Like the time we he was driving by a lake with my uncle. My uncle tells him that a boat sank there recently. My dad asks what the lake is called. My uncle tells him it's called Lake Ponderay". My dad scratches his head and says "hmmm, I wonder if that's foreboding.".
Well, I'm sure Shazam will get the joke at least.

Laugh. What kind of a dick would put something like that on his license plate? Might as well get a sign that says "I got rich very recently and now I think I am special".

Kinda looks like a stretched Hyundai that's spent too much time in the wind tunnel. All the sexiness of a cardboard box. Exclusivity is one thing that might appeal to the elite but it's gotta have the style too, especially amongst the other options. (I'd go Bentley myself)
I seem to recall Lexus has a $100,000 car coming too.

It's the interior that is the most spectacular part.. The back seats are like flying first class, but a lot better

Reminds me of the time I was working security at a mall and some guy in a Mercedes parked taking up 4 stalls. Long story short someone took exception to that and slashed all four tires. The guy ended up calling all ****ed screaming why aren't we doing parking lot patrols because his vehicle was vandalized to a sum of $1200 dollars. After he told me the vehicle I asked him if he was the individual who parked diagonally across 4 stalls. He shut up immediately and the conversation ended shortly after in a civil way. Karama can be a bitch sometimes

I sat in one at the auto show a couple of years ago. Its like being in a private jet. I love the reclining back seats with the foot rests that pop out from under the seat.
