Dodgers trying to kill their fans
The LA Dodgers have now created a 3000 seat All You Can Eat section in their ballpark.
Don't get me wrong, if it included beer I might be all for it for 1 game, but the sad thing is that there will probalby be people clamouring for season tickets in this section.

Left field without the all you can eat is 10 bucks a ticket compared to the 40 bucks for right field. Hmmmmm I guess that means one would have to eat and drink 30 bucks worth of concession stuff to break even. Hope said persons are taking Tums with them to the ball game.

If you like eating hot dogs I wouldn't go on that adventure, because once you do you'll probably never look at one again.

with the price of nachos - no problem. and if that includes beer... well, i'd be practically making money.
of course they're going to have their own concession stand for this deal... manned by 1 person. it'll be where they put the slowest and most inept person that works for them.

Who want's to play guess the guy who didn't read the article?
It doesn't include beer, and for some of the items they are actually going to have a self serve type system.
If it wasn't a good deal people wouldn't do it so it's not like they are going to intentionally screw people over, that would be bad business. (Granted so is killing your fans). It's just a way to attract people to the games.
Think about it. Going by Saddledome prices
Coke ~$5
Nachos ~$6
Hotdog ~$4
So to cover the difference ($30), you have to drink two huge cokes, two huge nachos and two hotdogs. I like to think most people couldn't do that, but hey if you think it's worth it go ahead.
SCARY STUFF.

skimmed most of it - didn't see a verdict on beer included or not included.
i did see some self serve - i'm guessing that'd be drinks and the food would be served by attendants cause a) itd be sanitary that way and b) pop isn't worth anything.
but yea... 3 cokes and 3 plates of nachos in 2 hours - NO PROBLEM! (no hot dogs for me thanks)

nm my original post ..I didnt read the article properly...
but yeah, that is a LOT of grease..too bad the restaurants aren't included..Dodger stadium has some great taqueria's as well as chinese restaurants. That would be a steal of a deal if you could eat there ..get a burrito or 2, which are also a part of concessions.

I'm guessing things like fresh fruit, low fat sandwiches on whole grain bread, and water won't be part of these concessions either. They might want to consider structurally reinforcing those bleachers. I'm guessing 300 pound folk will be pretty common in that part of the park.

seems to me like half the ball players out there have been on the "all-you-can-eat" system for a while now....

You don't wanna go there. I'll eat anything so I don't care.
Also, never ask about the milk used in chcolate milk.

I don't even like smelling the "food" at the Saddledome, I couldn't imagine actually eating $30 worth of that type of stuff.
Jesus, some people just hate life.

I love life, and it looks like I'm the only one who thinks this is a great idea by the Dodgers. Eating and baseball go hand in hand with one another, and when you're sitting down for so long during a game, and really want to buy something but then think twice about buying a $10 slice of pizza, I really do believe this is an excellent strategy to get people to come out to games. I'm a really skinny guy, but this is the stuff that works for anyone.
