The Bruins are actually a little more concerned then you'd think heading into the playoffs. We've had a few injury issues and the chemistry of the team seems to be a bit off. It will be interesting to see how things shake out. Anyway, here is how the teams matched up this season.

A rematch of last years first round match up (Bruins won in 5 games)

Much has changed over the year for both teams. The Bruins have a solid squad from top to bottom where Lidstrom and Straka lead the charge from the Blue line. While upfront they rely on production from Sykora and Mogilny. And once again Kolzig guards the net.

Brian Rolston led the Canes in last year’s version with 7 points against the Bruins. This year the Canes will rely on the likes of Ovechkin, Nash, and Weight for scoring. With Yelle as a checking forward, and a good young tender in net. I like the Canes chances


Prediction:

The mighty reign of the Bruins comes to a halt.
