Belfour's Binge leads to "The Cat" getting a chance!!
Felix Potvin seen in his CPHl Kings uniform will be in the spotlight
once again tonight as the Pens battle the Panthers in round 1 of
the CPHL Playoffs.
When GM Goffie told his players to go celebrate and have a good time to celebrating making the Playoffs he didn't mean go on a two week binge. Eddie "Buzzhead" Belfour misunderstood that. The last time he was seen he was hitting on a young waitress in a George Street Bar. How a Pittsburgh based hockey player ended up in Newfoundland is another story. " GM Goffie always talks about how fun it is to party on George street." Eddie slurred between shots of screech.
With star Netminder Jose Theodore on the shelf with a broken heel and Eddie still MIA the attention turns to little used veteran Felix Potvin. The Pens picked up Potvin at the deadline for a 4th round pick, thinking they might need the might need some extra goaltending depth for a deep Playoff run. Never was it expected they would find themselves with Potvin as their starter on the opening game of the playoffs. Only time will tell if Potvin can have the series of his life and steal a couple of games from the Panthers or will Jose's Heel and Eddie's Binge will be the end of the Pens.
