Michael "Mikey" Weinstein, a 1977 graduate of the Air Force Academy, filed suit against the Air Force in federal court in Albuquerque last October. Weinstein and four other plaintiffs allege illegal proselytizing by evangelical Christian chaplains, officers and cadets at the Air Force Academy and throughout the service.

Its not just the military. Plenty of para-military organizations use the same methodology for recruitment. It seems that those who spend a lot of time in church are more likely to take direction without question. Seems that those "without" are more likely to question the moral validity of orders.

Definitely. The KKK was born in small southern churches.

I would consider the KKK and it's neo-nazi spinoffs paramilitary groups.

By para-military I was talking other government security and law enforcement agencies. But not much difference, they're all freakin' facists!
