programmable LED badges

Anyone know where to get programmable LED badges or even little LCD screens you can run personalized messages through?

I'm looking for somewhere local - but the concept is like this:

They had those at the Round Up Centre at Stampede last year, my buddy bought a couple beltbuckles type ones, kinda funny the stuff he puts on it

You can find those badges and buckles at the Crossroads market at one of the vendor booths. They might be good for a laugh but I can't imagine a self respecting human being wearing one while expecting to be taken seriously.
