Looking for a house painter
Here's the story. My next door neighbour is a painter. Over the last year he and I talked about getting him over to paint my house. Then his computer died, and we arranged an exchange of computer services for painting services.
I suppose my mistake was finnishing his computer for him before he had finnished painting. Now it's excuse after excuse after no show; it's been going on for about 6 weeks now.
The main painting that has to get done is the 1/2 bathroom on the main floor. Of course this is the room that needed it the most as the previous owner of the house had fata'd it up already. One coat of paint has already been applied, and now there's drywall mud on the parts that were showing up rough. (I'm not sure why we mudded it after the first coat of paint.)
I already told the neighbour not to bother anymore. Now, I'd do this myself but I am apprehensive about cutting into the ceiling.
As mentioned the 1/2 bath is what needs to be done, but if somebody is eager I was also thinking of painting the stairway and the upstairs hallway. I was wondering if somebody was either needing some computer help (I work doing desktop support for the last 6 years) or if there was somebody who lived close to me who's a painter and is looking to make a couple of bucks. The other area in which I can help is with home theatre/satellite. (Not professional, but I have always done my own stuff there.) The first coat of paint took my neighbour about 30 minutes; and I figure it will need 2 more coats.
