Default Medal # 12

Canadian speedskating star Cindy Klassen bagged her third medal of the Torino Games in the women's 1,000 metres, finishing second behind Marianne Timmer of the Netherlands.

Pretty sad how i was following the event on olympics.com, what's wrong with CBC and just showing the Sweden/USA hockey game instead of a live medal event for a Canadian....what a disgrace..

They broke away to show Klassen skate, but otherwise, CBC likely believes that more people care about the USA-Sweden hockey game than about a bunch of no-name skaters.

They are probably right.

Yeah, I actually haven't been to impressed with CBC this olympics, they keep missing events, and cutting back and forth between them.

The way they handled it was horrible. The least they could have done would be to hold onto the results, and then show the races during the intermissions and after the game. When they announced that she won the silver I nearly flipped, just a ****-poor job by CBC.

I've not been impressed with CBC coverage either. I've been mostly watching SRC- they've been airing more of what I'm interested in, and I don't mind the french commentators.

Congrats to Klassen! Kristina Groves also finished well, in 5th place.
