Default Wild Address Problems in Net

With the playoff push enterring its final weeks, the Wild were dealt a stiff blow when starting goaltender Dom Hasek went down with an injury.

Though Hasek may only be out for a couple of weeks, the injury had potentially disastorous consequences for the club.

However, the Wild early this evening addressed the problem acquiring veteran netminder Brent Johnson from the Jackets in exchange for Dave Scatchard.

GM Grant Farhall commented.

"This hurts our third line right now for sure, but we simply could not go 2 weeks with Jamie Storr as our starter. We could not let this season go down the drain because of this injury. This gives us a solid #2 man in the pipes, and someone that can win us some games until Dom gets back.".

Where is your sense of adventure? It is a HOOT to play a 66OV and 63OV. But you have never really experienced a thrill like putting a 51 OV in net. What a ruuuuuuuuuuuuush

Ya.

51? Bah. That's nothing. My boy Pekka Rinne finished off tonight's game...he of the 48 OVR. Even made a couple of saves. I would have been better off having Axel's kid in net. Hell - I would've been better off having Axel himself betwen the pipes.

I wonder if he can trade himself to the Hawks!
