Default Valentines day...love, romance and....infidelity?

Anyone reading that's been stepping out on your significant other....take note.

Quote:
"Valentine's Day is the biggest day of the year for private investigators," Tony Delorenzo, of Private Detectives of America, a New Jersey-based company, told AFP.

"This year we're doing surveillance Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday because if somebody has a lover it will be on one of those days to catch him."

Private Detectives of America's Delorenzo said he was working on about 50 infidelity cases this year. He charges between 500 and 1,000 dollars to confirm to a client whether a spouse is cheating and 650 dollars for five hours of surveillance.

I love free enterprise.

Maybe I should moonlight as a PI.
That's some sweet extra cash...

I say if you are in a relationship where you are seriously considering hiring a private investigator to tail your significant other, then you may want to save yourself the money and just end it, cause it's probably already over.

Sometimes, it's all about the money.

The practical reason for employing a PI in that case would be to collect evidence of infidelity BEFORE you broke things off.

In the case of the man, it may be prudent to do so to lessen alimony in the future and in the case of a woman, traditionally the purpose would be to enhance alimony in the future.

Also, there is the possibility that you are simply a paranoid neurotic and your worst fears are completely unfounded . . . . and a PI might be worth the money to confirm that as well.

Adultery is irrelevant in awarding support and dividing property in Canada.

Yes, clients are always shocked about this.

Section 15.2(5) of the Divorce Act:

(5) In making an order . . . the court shall not take into consideration any misconduct of a spouse in relation to the marriage.

The only effect of adultery in Canada is that it allows you to apply for divorce before the normal one year separation.

In this city, the PI's get all their work during Stampede. That's infidelity season.

And then there's the other side of V-Day. It should be a good day so what do you guys think about asking a girl out for the first time on that very day?
