Default Sony BMG Lawsuit Settlement

I Got an e-mail regarding a settlement in the classaction suit vs Sony BMG over their cd-protection software. It was just a general e-mail, not addressed personally to me or anything. It provided some information on the settlement, and how to get replacement discs.

Anyone know anything about this, or gone through this process? Are Canadians eligible for replacement CD's as well, or is it a US only thing? I actually have 4 of the CD's they mention. Here's the site:

So no, we don't qualify. However, the Canadian exchange program can be found here.

And for the record, there appear to be 4 class action lawsuits currently in progress here in Canada. link

ahh...didn't see that part. Thanks for those other links, I really would like replacement CD's without that protection garbage on them.

I only found it on one of the PDFs, it was surprisingly hidden.

I just rip most of my CDs to high quality MP3s, then burn them to CD for use in my truck. Most of my home listening is from MP3s, either iPod or streamed.

I find it annoying how unapologetic Sony is in this whole debacle. I don't like being treated like an assumed criminal, so now I am avoiding Sony products wherever possible. It may not help, but voting with my wallet and hoping others do the same is something I can do.
