Yikes...talk about a complete and utter disregard for church and state....so to speak.

Domino's Pizza founder Thomas S. Monaghan has his way, a new town being built in Florida will be governed according to strict Roman Catholic principles, with no place to get an abortion, pornography or birth control.

The pizza magnate is bankrolling the project with at least $250 million and calls it "God's will."

I wouldn't say it's an utter disregard for church and state.
If the guy is putting up his own cash for the joint then why can't he say what does or doesn't get sold, or what services get offered.

Would it be a disregard for church and state if the owners of the west edmonton mall decided no porn, birthcontrol, or abortion were to be sold in the mall, and then changed the hotel into apartments so people could live there?

I'd say there is a total difference between an established city council making these laws, and someone building what is essentially a private community for those who want to live in a Catholic based community.

I guess there's no birth control either. Teen pregnancy shouldn't be an issue either then - they'll just abstain.

Maybe...i really have no idea.

I kind of have to think that he has to follow constitional guidelines though...his money or not.

No idea if such "ideals" fall under that same ruleset or not.
