Looks like a pretty good match up. A lot of the experts have mixed feelings on who is going to come out on top. Who do you guys think?
Steelers 27 - Seahawks 17
MVP - Hines Ward

Seahawks will win for sure.
30-20
On a neat little sidenote, I was fortunate enough to see both these teams play live this year, Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, and Seattle in Philly.

I think Pittsburgh is the better team and that Seattle will get exposed as a good team but nearly as good as the teams from the AFC.

Troy Polamalu scores forces a fumble on a sack and picks Hasselback for a TD. He is named Super Bowl MVP.

You guys didn't hear this from me but my brother and dad will be at the game wearing their red flames jerseys. Look for them about 30 rows back around the 50 yard line (not sure which side). It's a long story about how they scored these tickets. Anyway, I'm looking forward to a great game.

IMO comes down to the first 3 drives Seattle has. If they (Hasselback) can move the ball efficiently and get some points (even just 1 FG), it will give the offense the confidence it needs to play their own game for the rest of the game. If they can play their game, it means a proper mix of run and pass, which has been very effective.
It happened in the NFC championship game, and, most of the games that were hyped (in Seattle and by the Seatle fan boards) "as being big games" this year ie Monday Night, games vs. the Rams and Cowboys etc.
If they can't, look for Hassleback to start to panic ala 2000-2004, and sart throwing up bad passes trying to force things. Then we're in trouble.
I predict a close Seattle win...7pts or less.
For all the (over) analysis I have heard, its all about the Steelers mojo in winning all these games in a row on the road...and I haven't heard the fact that Seattle has won 13 of their last 14 games after starting 2 and 2. No matter who you are in the NFL,that's some serious mojo.
Getting pretty nervous...after suffering as a fan for as long as cable TV pulled Spokane stations into the house, I've been a fan, (yes, even as a kid during the Bosworth era) simply because they were the team I could watch every Sunday. A lot of malaise over the years as the team had no real direction.

I think it will come down to Shawn Alexander. Yes he's struggled with the 3-4 but he's a pending UFA. He said I want to be UFA after this year because I want to get paid. So he goes out runs for 30 touchdowns and great yardage and is NFL MVP. How much would Al Davis pay to aquire a guy who's NFL MVP and Super Bolw MVP? Shawn Alexander knows this damn well and he'll have a huge game and get a record contract in the offseason.

If, after the past 3 seasons, it all depends if he has a big Superbowl for an NFL GM to decide if they should want Alexander, then they're not a very good GM.

Well don't get me wrong, he's going to be in extremely high demand as is. He's going to get a great contract. But if he has a monster game in the Superbowl it WILL push his price up. I think Alexander is a guy who wants to get a 5 year 82 million dollar deal over a 5 year 80 million dollar deal. To him that extra couple million matters, and he'll get it with a big game in the superbowl.

The Seattle Seahawks are the NFL's Wancouver Cannots. They are a pathetic organization that is merely capable of making a run to the big game once every 20 some years but even when they do that, they will not win it all and that ain't gonna change today.
27 - 17 Steelers and more crying on the wet coast.
