Default outdoor rink problem

my usual rink (signal hill) ice has been medicore at best, and even has huge cement patches throughout the playing surface. I was wondering if anyone knew a suitable replacement rink for the time being somewhere in the SW that has good ice

My bro played there Sunday and he said it was fine... Signal Hill is maintained very well. You're not going to find better. Blame the weather.

The Glamorgan rink is usually a good alternative, but last time I was there it wasn't exactly in the best of shape.

With the warm weather I think most rinks are hurting. In Woodlands our rink is pretty good, but carves up pretty quick.

Up in Martindale they haven't even bothered flooding the rink this year, it's been way to warm.

I lived in Martindale for the two winters before this one, and the rink wasn't flooded once.

Lazy bums... that's a shame. I've played like 15 times this winter.

Oh, are you one of the maintenance guys that makes the ice? Gets everything ready for everyone to skate on? Entitled to call them lazy?

There's no one in Martindale interested in doing the work. After the first two winters of no ice up there I was planning on getting a couple guys together to work on the ice, but then I moved to Whitehorn, where there's already a good rink. I hope someone steps up over there. Everyone from up there ends up on the Whitehorn rink, and it gets pretty full.

Really nice ice at the outdoor rink by the Alexander Calhoun library on 14th street and 32nd avenue SW.

If they haven't flooded that ice this year. they are lazy.

At Signal Hill they've flooded it since mid December. When the zaboni guy comes out to do the ice. I help him out with the nets because everyone else is just standing around. I offered to volunteer too but they said they didn't need anyone this year.
