Default Chris Penn dead at 40

http://www.cnn.com/2006/SHOWBIZ/Movi....ap/index.html

He was one of those guys who was just good at playing the dishelved mobster type. However, his early work was high quality IMO. Really good roles in Footloose and At Close Range. He was a big guy so you have to wonder if his heart gave out. Seemed to put on a lot of weight really quickly about 10 years ago.

Man that is young.

Gotta wonder about drugs as well...that life eats up so many out in LA and in NY.

I had no idea he was Sean Penn's brother. He doesn't even look or sound like him.

Here is his IMDB list of roles.

I always find it interesting what bit parts actors played when they were getting started.

"Magnum, P.I." playing "Wounded Soldier in Vietnam" (as Christopher Penn) in episode: "Heal Thyself" (episode # 3.11) 16 December 1982
