Default Going to the NFC Championship Game!!!

I managed to get tickets on Monday for the NFC Championship game in Seattle. So, I get to go, watch my favorite team play in the biggest game they have ever played in! I am STOKED!

Now the question is....Should I wear one of my 3 Seahawks Jersey, or represent with my Red Flames Jersey???

I was just gonna start a thread similar to this, looks lif the Broncos make the SB I will be going. One of my best friends growing up is awfully close with the team owner, so if they can beat the Steelers it's off to Detorit Rock City.

I'd go with the Seahawks jersey for the game. Wear the Flames one around town, but you have to stick with "your team" with it being a playoff game.

And for the record, I am green with envy!

Yeah, that would be pretty cool to see. Personally I'd wear a Panthers jersey to the game.....But if I were a Seahawks fan I'd have a Seahawk jersey on. Unless of course you have some type of supersticious ritual that you believe works.

Go old school! Wear the old jersey with #84 Sam McCullum on the back!!!!

I'm rooting for the Seahawks. It seems the meida has abandoned them and much like the Colts and Pats last week have proclaimed the Panthers an automatic winner. Morons.

Bonus points for anyone who can figure out the Sam McCullum connection, especially if you remember him playing as I do!

I missed out on the TM release on Monday morning (meeting)...I was planning a frivolus and expensive day trip out there if I somehow managed to get even 1 ticket.

I would say more, but don't want to jinx it.

Not sure whether to put on the "Springs" jersey that I have from a few years back..prolly not.

Congrats Incog....I'm gunning for the Hawks as well.
Planning on maybe heading out to Seattle next season, as the Vikings will be visiting. Looks like the probability that #11 is their starting QB is dwindling every day.
But I fully expect to see pictures of this event.

Well there are reasons the Panthers are being looked on as favorites.

Delhomme is by far the most experienced playoff QB left...and that could be the difference IMO. Great defense, and the best WR in the game this year.

The injuries they are facing nay be the downfall though. Davis and Foster are out and Peppers looks doubtful.

I meant to find out if my Uncle is going. He has season tix, but is not actually a big football guy. I was gonna' try and maybe get his tix, because I could use 'em way more than him.

As for the jersey: if you have three Seahawks jerseys, you are obviously a huge Seahawks fan, and there is absolutely no reason not to go decked in (a boring monochromatic) blue outfit. Wear the Hawks jersey and represent what you are there to represent.

Have fun at the game Incog, but don't cry too much if your Seahawks lose.

I know there are lots of Calgarians, and lots of Flame fans that love the Hawks, and I guess I understand that they are the closest NFL team to Calgary, but personally, I think Seattle is the NFL's version of the Wancouver Cannots.

Think about it, both franchises have been around a while and they're both among the most inept organizations in their respective leagues, and of course neither has won a championship. In fact the few times either of these teams have actually been able to field decent teams and have good regular season's, they've found a way to choke in the games that matter most.

Also, Shaun Alexander IMO is very over-rated, ala Baby Bert. He may have won the MVP, but he's not even the best running back in the NFL, let alone the best player. Just like the big baby is definetely not the best power forward in the NHL.

Matt Hasselback is a good quarterback, with a lot of talent, but I certainly don't think of him as a great leader who can rally his team to a championship. Reminds me a lot of a certain Markus Naslund. Great talent, but I can think of many other guys I'd rather have as my captain and leader come playoff time.

Then there's Mike Holmgren. IMO an average coach at best, who is vastly over-rated due to a championship he won where his talented team won not because of him, but rather due to superior talent and athletes. (the Brett Favre led Packers). This again draws direct parallels to Marc Crawford, an over-rated average coach who won the Cup with Colorado on a stacked team that probly would have won no matter who coached them.

And of course, both teams have the same left coast, tree hugging, bandwagon jumping, and overall downright terrible fans who love to talk trash but have nothing to trash talk about.

So basically, for me, the Seahawks = the Cannots and I hope neither team ever wins a championship as long as I'm alive. /rant.

As for today's game, the Seahawks MIGHT pull it out simply due to Carolina's injuries, but even if they do, look for them to get crushed in the Superbowl. I'll definetely be making a BIG wager on that if the Hawks can even get a win today.

They BARELY pulled that one out...

Now I am looking for them to get CRUSHED in the superbowl...

Won't Happen....Hawks by a TD!

Here are pics of my day yesterday in Seattle:

The Seahawk fans really impressed me again last night, when I went there last year they we're great and last night that place looked like it was just going off.

I got a feeling it's gonna be a lot of Steelers this and Steelers that the way to the Superbowl but the Hawks sure have got a lot of talent to win that game
