To set up the CPHL's game of the week between Axels old team the Devils and his new team the Flames current GM Sylvanfan recently did a survey of Devils fans for who their most hated man in the CPHL is. Syl felt this was neccessarry as a means of putting the blame for the Devils franchise on the man who deserves it. The results were unanimous as they chose former GM Axel Axemann AKA Sample00. It seems the fans are still very bitter about many of the Axemanns deals that left the club in shambles and with no hope for the future.
Deals that saw a goaltending tandem that was once Martin Brodeur AND Miika Kiprusoff both traded in the same season. By the time the team was in Syl's hands the goaltending duo was Mike Dunham and Jani Hurme......So we have an 84OV and 80OV goalie downgraded to over rated 79 and 71 guys...Not good. That too is just the beginning of the dismantling of a former powerhouse. Aside from that the defence was anchored by Rhett Warrener. Up front Keith "I don't have no concussion" Primeau was carrying the mail. Left with a prospect base of Ladislav Smid and nothing else, and an average team height of under 6 feet tall GM Syl has certainly been in tough. I mean in today's world any man under 6 feet is considered an anomily. The team is cheaper, younger and now bigger than what it used to be. There are players with first line potential back in the system, but the work with this team has barely been started.
After bolting to Calgary due to a Liberal government-esque patronage appointment, Sample has just laughed at the Devils. Like that senile former NDP MP from BC who stole millions from charity Bingo, Sample refuses to take any responsibility for the Devils. With the Flames currently second in a weak Howe Conference and loaded with over rated old guys who will crash and burn after this season the Axemann, simply ignores any comments around him, and boasts of his accomplishments. A man who consistantly claims, "I'm German, I never make mistakes." A man who goes to Vegas and bets on his own team consistantly. Yes he does occasionally purposefully try to lose games to line his own pockets. He once held up Tim Hortons in Edson and left the entire town without donuts. A man who tried to pick up than Devils GM Flickered Flame in a scandalous CPHL pool party last year. A man who would trust KevanGuy to babysit his own children. This is an evil, evil, bad man. Karma owes him a severe ass whipping!!!!!
