Default Are the Flames re-building?

Simple question.
We can follow up with a question about if their re-build is aggressive enough or not. But simple yes/no. Are they re-building?

It’s not a rebuild, it’s a rebiggle (in the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger).

Indeed but it was stated in another thread that

"I don't think there is a clear direction. Otherwise, the large majority would agree it is a rebuild."

So wanted to find out if that's true or not.

That's the trouble, not a lot of fun things to talk about while waiting for trades. After the TDL it is going to be painful waiting for the draft.

As is Flames tradition, they are somewhat late and dragging their feet about it, but at this point, hard to deny it's anything but a rebuild.

No. If they aren't calling it a rebuild, then they aren't rebuilding. Focusing on getting younger and building through the draft but not quite leaning into it enough. It's a re-biggle all the way.

I voted no, because they were actually rebiggling. The rebiggle is essentially over.

I can't believe people are seriously arguing otherwise. They been rebuilding for two years already.

Please stop the nonsense

Voted yes. I think the extent of the rebuild is the big question.

Now. Not interested in relitigating the past. Are they rebuilding now.

I don’t think many folks argue if this is or isn’t a rebuild but most of the arguments are around how they are going about it.

I feel in a better spot with the rough results in January and the Andersson trade done. There are rumors other vets will move so it does seem like the season is trending in the direction I hoped for.

They have been trading all their veteran pending UFA's which is not what I would call building a contender so really no other answer. However it's happening only because their hand was forced, as they tried to extend Lindholm, Hanifin, and Andersson. I don't believe the owner his happy about this, but at least he realizes that it's the only path they have at the present time. I expect patience will be short and that shortcuts will likely be taken the moment they have a hint of premature success in the future.
