A player can't refuse to waive his NTC if he doesn't have one.

Logan Stanley is listed as 6'7" 231 lbs. Those are the types of numbers teams want heading into the playoffs.

Stanley-Kesselring has all the makings of a legit playoff third pair

I wonder if the Sabres go after Brayden Schenn.
He wanted to play with his brother last trade deadline. Obviously, the Blues and Sabres have talked.

Should be a nice return for the Jets.

Rosen isn't really viewed as much at this point

That return seems light for the jets.

Rosen was a top five prospect in a stacked Buffalo system. He’s scoring well over a ppg in the AHL and 7 points in 16 games in the nhl. Just doesn’t have a clear path in the Sabres system. Great return for the jets.
He’ll likely step in immediately into their third line.

Disagree. Easy win for the Jets.
They are giving up two absolute pylons who routinely get out-possessed and out-chanced

One thing I've noticed recently about the Sabres is they're losing trades on paper, but winning them on the ice.
Savoie for McLeod seemed like a huge blunder for Buffalo at the time, but McLeod has turned into a very important 2C/3C for them and has had a way bigger impact than Savoie. Peterka for Doan and Kesselring was also heavily scrutinized but Doan is actually outproducing Peterka and is a WAY better two-way guy. And Kesselring is a decent 2nd or 3rd pair D.
Buffalo has a lot of shiny toys because of their draft pedigree, and they have a lot of the same type of forwards (offense only, offers nothing else). What they're starting to do now is they've identified a core group of players to build around, and have used some of their excess shiny toys to acquire players that fill other important roles, and they're actually building a TEAM (something Edmonton can really learn from). I'm actually pretty excited for them.
This deal might not look on paper for Buffalo because they gave up a former 14th OA pick, but Stanley could be a solid bottom 4 D for them. And Schenn can hit I guess.

I see Rosen as a Pelletier clone. Way too good for the AHL, but for some reason can't stick in the NHL.

At least Stanley and Schenn can wear blue uniforms without being mistaken for Smurfs. That's something the Sabres could use a bit of. Not sure I care for the acquisition price.

Kevyn Adams made those deals and got let go when Buffalo was .500 early in the year
