Backlund as our first line center. Gridin as a thrid line checker. Parekh as a bottom pair D (with the guy we traded Andersson for still here and playing ahead of him).

I wouldn't look at it that closely. We don't have a top line or pair. We don't really have a bottom pair. We do have a 4th line, but they aren't a huge step down from out other lines.
Basically, we have a bunch of 2nd/3rd line forwards, and a bunch of 2nd pair defensemen.

I like Weegar, but Parekh is the best powerplay player on this roster. Hopefully we see him on PP1 very soon.
They were calling Backlund's unit PP1 right before the break.
To me these rejigged ones look like they are just evening the two units out. Frost has the best zone entry. Sharangovich may have the best one timer (Gridin has an argument though).
Same with the five on five lines other than the clear 4th line.

Whitecloud 100% should be playing more minutes than Parekh

Huska and co can't figure out what the national team knew from day 1. How long is it going to take before they put the kid where he's destined to play for the next decade

It really doesn’t matter where you slot any of the players on this roster. Or who comes and goes.
It’s one of the few rosters I have seen like that in sport.
