The NHL OOT is back after a 20 day Olympic hiatus! It is Wednesday
Night Hockey with more games than usual. Let's hope the officials will
know how and why to call "too many men" when they see more than
five skaters on the ice. I swear that the officials were having amaretto
cocktails during the games to have missed those obvious calls. It will
be nice to hear the national anthems again before the puck is dropped.
It is also nice having games starting late in the afternoon or early
evening instead of the middle of the night. We are reminded to what
Europeans go through to watch NHL games at odd hours.

on a Wednesday evening instead of showing canadian
teams is wrong. This is the second best night of the

The Knights will not have five Olympic players in their lineup for tonight's game. Eichel, Hannifn, Marner, Stone, and Theodore will not play.

The Capitals are up 1-0 with Sandin's goal in the second period. Shutout watch for Thompson as he has stopped all nineteen shots so far. Vladar is in net for the Flyers.

Tage Thompson and the Sabres carry on with their strong play. It is 1-0 Buffalo after forty minutes. Thompson has the goal and a shutout watch in effect for Lukkonen. He has stopped all 22 shots so far.
