February 17
The day starts with Men’s Curling matches at 01:05.
At 02:00 the Ski Jumping portion of the Men’s Gundersen Large Hill / 10km begins. The Cross Country portion starts at 05:45.
Qualification in Women’s Aerials starts at 02:45. Marion Thenault is the Canadian in this event.
At 04:10 Germany faces France and Switzerland faces Italy in Men’s Hockey. I think one game will be on TSN and one on SNW.
At 05:00 the Women’s Snowboard Slopestyle Final begins and I think this will be on CBC. Juliette Pelchat and Laurie Blouin are the Canadians.
Qualification in Men’s Aerials starts at 05:30. Emile Nadeau, Lewis Irving, Miha Fontaine, and Victor Primeau are the Canadians for this event.
At 06:05 Canada (3-3) faces Sweden (6-0) in Women’s Curling. I think this will be on TSN.
Canada races in the Men’s 4x7.5km Relay Biathlon at 06:30. I think this may be on SNW after the hockey finishes.
At 06:30 the Men’s Team Pursuit Speed Skating Semifinals begin. The A Final is at 08:28.
At 06:52 Canada races against the usa in the first Semifinal of the Women’s Team Pursuit. The race for Bronze is at 08:41 and the Final is at 08:47.
At 08:40 Czechia faces Denmark in Men’s Hockey, the winner will face Canada.
The Women’s Singles Short Program begins at 10:45. Madeline Schizas will be the 19th skater.
Run 3 of the Men’s 2 Man Bobsleigh starts at 11:00. Taylor Austin and Shaq Murray-Lawrence are in fifteenth, Jay Dearborn and Mike Evelyn O’Higgins and in twenty-second. Run 4 is at 13:05.
At 11:05 Canada (5-1) faces Great Britain (4-3) in Men’s Curling.
The Big Air Final in Freestyle Skiing starts at 11:30 and I think this may be on CBC. Dylan Deschamps is the Canadian.
At 13:10 Sweden plays Latvia in Men’s Hockey.

Too much snow in Livigno. The snowboard slope style has been postponed and the aerials are delayed.
The only events on right now are the hockey qualifiers with Germany and Switzerland taking early 1-0 leads.
After 1 Germany is up 3-0 with the shots 13-4 while Switzerland is up 2-0 with the shots 18-2. Olympic hockey is like 80% uncompetitive games.

They should let Canada and US send two teams. You can send multiple athletes in the solo events … why not?

As soon as I called those games uncompetitive the 2nd periods were much better for the underdogs. Italy is getting great goaltending to stay close, while France made a goaltending change and looked completely different scoring a goal and controlling play for times.

Homan misses another relatively easy shot and goes from forcing Sweden to a single to giving up a 3 spot.
Story of the week for that group. Been really disappointing.

Kudos where deserved for Homan as well....she just made a triple that would make Kevin Koe jealous. Circus shot stuff.
Set her up to score a deuce and take a 6-5 lead going to 9.

And now she completely butchers an easy shot and Sweden can score 2.

But Sweden misses their easy shot. Tied 6-6 going to 10th end. Canada with hammer.
Ice seems a bit unpredictable.

Now she completely misses her last shot in 9....takes out her own rock and if not for a Swedish miss right after would be trailing by 1 going to 10
But....they are tied a and Canada has hammer....85% chance of winning iirc.
