Almost forgot how ugly that lineup is after watching team canada lines for the last two weeks.

So awesome to see Kuz on the top D pairing. What an awesome story he has been for us.

Beecher was much better just prior to his injury. He may surprise some people.

Literally the first thought that came across my mind too.

Ooof.

I tried to like Beecher's game, but I don't see an NHLer there. IMO, Rooney was a better 4C, Kirkland is better, and Morton is better. The 4th line looked completely ineffective with Beecher on it, despite the fact he's young, big, and can skate fast. I would be more than happy to eat crow, and give credit to both Beecher and the coaches if he turns things around. For now at least it helps team tank.

I like trying Coleman away from Backlund, I think he could be a good pro for Gridin to play with, and he would help Frost a lot with his defensive reads. I bet Coleman will play with a ton of energy in his final few games as a Flame.

Will any Flame hit 20G, or 50P this year?

I still think that's to avoid disrupting the Backlund line when Coleman is traded before the Flames first game back on Thursday.

Without Huberdeau and Anderssen that line up is... ugly. Obviously Huberdeau has fallen off a cliff, but he was still an important part of the top 6... if we trade Coleman and or Kadri I don't see how we aren't challenging Van for last place by the end of the season.

Same reason as least year, Wolf/goaltending? I think Wolf will be a lot better after the reset.

I'd like to see a Gridin-Frost-Coronato line.

Not sure what this could possibly be based on

Beecher was much better than Kirkland in their last respective outings. Morton seems to have stalled out in his progression in the A. Out of Kirkland, Morton and Beecher they may as well try the younger guy.

Beecher is fast, big body and can kill penalties. He is not really moving the needle much, but either are Kirkland, Morton or Rooney

Rooney and Kirkland cleared waivers...by all accounts Beecher had multiple claims

Glad to see Gridin and Parekh still up.

Does Pospisil slot in to Beecher’s spot when back? That’ll be a fun 4th line to watch

That 1st round allure takes a while to wear off. Plus he's 6'3 and a center. He'll get a ton of shots at figuring it out. Mark Jankowski still gets signed every year for the same reason.

At least Kirkland hits and can hold his own in the faceoff dot. Beecher not so much on either account.

That said Beecher is younger and im all for a better tank.
