Yea, unfortunate timing. If Ras was 3-4 years younger and this was Backlunds last 1-2 years you sign him long term to be next Captain.

Yeah, gotta love Ras. I am in the rebuild/tear down camp - but if it were possible I'd be ok with trading Kadri and Coleman, and extending Ras... he's not that old and likely would still be an effective player/leader in 3-4 years when we're hopefully becoming competitive again.
