Flames Parekh will rejoin the Flames on road trip. UPD: day to day upper body injury

I know some were thinking he would be sent back to junior but looks like he will stick in the NHL for now.

Just glad he wasn’t hurt yesterday.
Guessing Brzustewicz stays behind and tonight’s scratch is a precursor to that

With Stromgren gearing up for the roadie too. I feel like the trades are gonna happen soon.

The team when Zayne comes back:

Seriously though, 5-game road trip with the boys is a good time to bring him back

I wonder who's going to be sent down. Maybe, Beecher simply goes on IR for now.

I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give Parekh 2 weeks in the AHL on a conditioning stint, but I guess the world juniors was enough to get him up to pace.

Huska was asked about Brz today. I got the impression that Brz just needed a breather and will get right back in the lineup.

Will be interesting if they take 8 D on the trip

Maybe a trade is close?

He looked a little behind the play last game so I figured that was the plan.

He needs to be scratched for 5 NHL games before Zayne is eligible for an AHL conditioning stint. So say the Barn Burner dudes.

They might need to find a left handed shooting version of a Derek Engelland to pair with young Zayne. Some who can beat the hell out of two guys at once if some one takes some Liberties on him.

Wishful thinking anyways...

That does make sense. They haven't carried 8 D all year I don't think.

The might have had 8 whenever Miromanov was up with the big club.

Bean(IR) > Brzustewicz
Parekh(IR) > Kuznetsov

They need Parekh to take some of the strain off of Weegar so he can get back to playing like Prime Weegar.

Also, it has come to my attention that our powerplay is bad and should feel bad for being so bad...so any help there is probably welcome.

Not a wild take by any means, but I don't think Raz is coming back from this trip. Parekh's arrival gives Conroy that ability to move him out, while continuing to try and win games.

11F/7D.

Double shift some wingers and let Zayne play the entire powerplay, and nothing else.
