Instant Reaction: Flames fall short in the Shark Tank

The Calgary Flames headed to the Bay Area on Tuesday evening, hoping to win both games on their Dads Trip. Unfortunately, the Flames just couldn’t get enough pucks past Sharks netminder Yaroslav Askarov en route to a 6-3 road loss to San Jose.

Flames prospect Mace’o Phillips wins gold with Team USA at Junior A World Challenge

Over the weekend, Calgary Flames blueline prospect Mace’o Phillips completed a full set of medals.
On Saturday, at the Junior A World Challenge, Phillips was part of the United States Junior Select Team that captured the gold medal. Team USA beat Canada West by a 5-1 score to cement their championship at the tournament.

Report: The Flames have received plenty of calls about Rasmus Andersson since the Quinn Hughes trade

If the Calgary Flames choose to, they could be the biggest players ahead of Mar. 6’s trade deadline.
Last Friday was a busy day in the hockey world. Hours after the Edmonton Oilers acquired Tristan Jarry from the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Vancouver Canucks traded their captain, Quinn Hughes, to the Minnesota Wild.

I would be very surprised if the Flames dont win this one. They're healthy, and coming off a lackluster effort against San Jose should be ready to go.

Also, and maybe more importantly, Seattle is a mess right now. Between many key injuries and a flu that has beaten up the rest of the roster there shouldn't be much gas in the tank for them at all. And they were getting maybe 2 goals a game when healthy.

A loss here tonight for the Flames would be embarrassing.

I agree with Toonage that it appears the Flames are bound to win this one. A bump from being at home and coming off a less than stellar effort from the Sharks, should give motivation for a win and expect them to be dialed in.

I just want to see effort, especially from our guys who we are shopping so their value goes up. If we lose, so be it, team tank will be happy. As long as we give effort and are entertaining to watch, I do not care about the outcome this year.

Seattle is the worst team in the NHL over the past ten games, should be a win for the Flames

Going to the game tonight and I have the unfortunate luck of rarely getting to see a win live.

Hoping to see a win but if we lose, y'all can blame or thank me depending on what side of the coin you're on!

One of the only teams that scores less than the Flames. Which I didn’t think was possible.

Going to the game tonight, will certainly be one of the NHL games of all time!

Looking forward to it, hoping for big games from Ras, Naz, and Pickles. Gotta increase their stock.

Two of the lowest scoring teams in the league, so expect this to be some kind of 8-6 barn burner.

This year will be the Kraken’s 5th top 10 pick in the first 6 years with no end in sight. Tough start for that franchise. Francis was smart to abandon that tire fire to the experienced GM hands of Jason Botterill.

It looks like a new pp tonight:

That's a big opportunity for Klapka, and Sharangovich on the 1st unit.

The lines are projected to stay the same:
