A bit of a slow day with some paper transactions today.

Don't think they'll stay at 21 on the roster that long. 22 is fine, but 21 is thin.

However I think they're pretty happy with their top nine right now.

I actually think Morton might be the better fit for the 4th line.

I wonder if/how the Flames try to manage the 30 days, and 10 games played of waiver exemption each player has.

Currently:
Hunt 26/30 days, 2/10 GP
Kerins 4/30 days, 2/10GP
Morton 8/30 days, 3/10GP
Miromanov 4/30 days, 1/10GP

The rest are either waiver exempt due to their age, or have the full 30 days, and 10GP because they have yet to play in the NHL since clearing waivers, like Kirkland.

Steinberg is speculating that Bill Stromgren could be the one they call up

Wrong brother, William is better.

It's great news though, I really want to see what he is at the NHL level. I think his game would translate similar to Kuznetsov.

Hope so. Really want this guy to get a shot.

Not long ago Kuz looked like he might have been maybe a waste of a 2nd rounder.

Hopefully Stromgren turns the tide in the same way this season at some point and becomes a solid home grown NHLer.

Stromgren being able to make the jump would be found money. CP voted him 15th on the prospect rating, and the 11th forward. But the tools are there - he has speed, size, and some offensive skill.

Always felt there was something there and I can't wait to see what he looks like at this level.

How does Taco Jr feel that he is progressing? I would imagine he is a Sutter favorite.

I’d bring Gridin up for a few days to give him some more development time. See how he’s progressed and give him an xmas bonus

It’s been tough sledding for sure. Certainly didn’t expect all of Kirkland, Kerins, Morton and Bishop to be playing for the Wranglers so there’s a glut of centres. He’s been slowly carving out his defensive/PK/faceoff role but hasn’t had the chance yet to play higher in the lineup to show what he can do offensively. His one chance at playing first line was a week ago and he got a tainted Booster Juice that cost him 3 games. Life ain’t always fair!

That's rough.
So he's taking faceoffs as a winger?
How much overtime is he getting? Is he getting any offensive zone starts? Hope he gets his chance soon enough.

He's playing centre but on the fourth line so limited minutes and very few O zone starts. It'll come. He'll be ready when the chance comes. He likes Sutter and the whole team. No straight lines in sports. He's been a top PK guy with Bishop so that's good. 7/10 last night on the draws. Just has to be patient.

That is unbelievable. Hang in there - you never know when a break will come!

(I know you know that)
