Gonna be some sad beers for Canada in Switzerland today. Done from the Spengler Cup again.

What is the point of not registering your players? Do they think there is an outside chance of getting Dickinson or Catton?

I assume its just keeping your options open if you don't need the players in case of two goalies getting hurt or a bunch of defenseman getting sick or whatever. But I don't know for sure why they are doing it.

The Finland Czechia game is arguably the biggest game of the round robin. Winner of that should goes through to the knockout round.

Adding Mrtka at this stage is a nice injection, but got to wonder if he’s being rushed back for the game.

These games are all nearly empty. It’s a shame. No wonder why they play in Canada most of the time.

US is usually propped up by Canadians but thanks to fat orange that isn't the case this year

Yeah...I think trips to America are down across the board thanks to the Cheeto King and his cronies.

So while Canadians would prop up attendance, there is significant drop in that as well people traveling from Europe. I mean, if I'm European, Minnesota in December is so far down my travel list at the best of times let alone now.

Its a good thing there isn't a South American team or they'd all be getting shipped to El Salvador.

The empty arena is the best part about this years tournament.

Finally. Verhoeff isn't a savior but it's about time they get him in to see what he can do in this lineup. Hopefully Bear can bring a spark as well, because this team just seems.....off, so far.

They might be tinkering at the wrong time. Because they finally looked consistently dangerous in the 3rd against Latvia. But it's also probably the best game to get some bench players some minutes as well. The Slovaks aren't looking too strong this year.

The Czechs on the other hand are looking legit. They’ve been out working Finland this whole game. Even short handed. Win or lose, they’re making teams work for it.

Hemming ties it up with Finland's goalie pulled.
I wouldnt mind getting him any return if we were to trade with Dallas.

One of the best OTs I've seen. That GWG was an absolute beaut.
