Flames St. Louis Blues at Calgary Flames 2:00pm TV: SN, FDMW - RADIO SN960

News Roundup

5 Things - Flames vs. Blues

1. Welcome Back!

Ah, to be home again.

The Flames landed back in Calgary early Friday afternoon, a little more than 24 hours before they're scheduled to drop the puck on the 2025-26 home-opener against the St. Louis Blues. TICKETS

The two-game voyage to Edmonton and Vancouver netted two points in the standings and Saturday afternoon, the locals will work toward starting the home portion of the schedule on the front foot, as they did on the road Wednesday night in Edmonton.

St. Louis Blues vs Calgary Flames Prediction

Key Storylines
Recent form

St. Louis opened the season with a 5-0 loss at home to Minnesota, failing to generate much offensively. Calgary began 0–1, then responded with a 4–3 shootout win over Edmonton after trailing 3–0. The Flames played their first two games of the season on the road and will look to take advantage of being at home for the first time in this contest.

Flames Game Day 3: Starting the home schedule against St. Louis

The Flames travelled back from Vancouver on Friday and didn’t skate on Saturday because of the early start, so we’re left to make guesses and educated assumptions regarding Saturday’s lineup – we’ll get a better idea at warm-up. We’re projecting Dustin Wolf to start in net, backed up by Devin Cooley. Thursday’s extras were Zayne Parekh, Daniil Miromanov and Sam Honzek.
Kevin Bahl left Thursday’s game after being struck in the head by a puck and didn’t return. We don’t have any indication yet of his status for Saturday’s game.

What better way to burn some time before the game than by hitting the mall? A pair of fans, ready to cheer the Blues (brothers in hockey, if you will) find themselves in a mall that's got everything - lots of space, especially. Maybe the new Oldsmobiles are out early?

Spoiler!

Go Flames

Both Jon and Marty supposed to be back from IR today, plus Parekh.

Should be some lineup changes.

Was this announced somewhere!

If they are back I think this game will be a good guage as to where we are at. The Vancouver game with the rediculous travel was as close to a guaranteed loss as you could get. Blues have a good young team. Hopefully Hubey, Pospisil and Parekh can help with offense.

Team didn't start well in either game, so far. Need to have a good start, as I'm not sure they will have enough left in the tank to chase the game.

Would also wonder if Bahl is in the line up, sure hope its not a concussion

Would also have to think Cooley should get the start

I am sure Wolf gets the start tonight. It is the home opener after all.

I doubt it. I’m sure Wolf is getting the start to bounce back. Also Parekh better be in.

I thought the first 12 minutes of the Vancouver game were their best minutes of the season.

Maybe, with the game at 2pm...

Not sure why the coaches, would have Wolf start 3 games in 4 days.

Nothing to do with how he played, having a goalie play 3 games in 4 days, makes no sense at all.
