Farewell/welcome jersey or patch? Like a one time or one season thing? Not sure what a farewell onto Saddledome jersey would be, the current homes are those.
A total redesign for the uniform set for the new building would be an idea. Not required but an idea, just keep black out of it. Is that the “welcome” jersey?
Blasty needs to go. It was a lazy reverse retro concept and should’ve never stuck past that as a third. Sounds like the Black C from 2003 2007 is that replacement this year.
I fully expected a new third going into the new building. But it can’t be dusting off the Black C for that.
The Flames don’t have a good track record with alternates. Last 28 years it’s been Blasty, Script jersey, Blasty.
Didn’t mind Reverse retro pedestal but that was worn 8 times. HC jerseys don’t count either.

With more and more teams shifting to two alternates I believe that's also the plan here. Use Blasty six times a year, use the '04s six times a year. Something to that end.

Wow! Was not expecting the black C to return for awhile. But good news as I love that jersey, only if it's the 04 version of course.
Will be interesting to see what 'farewell to the dome' & 'welcome to scotiaplace' jerseys would entail.

Edit: and this is about as far as I want to go with this (probably a better name for my sex tape)
I don't hate it... I'm not convinced it's using the right colours, or maybe it is and they just need to be toned down a bit?

Not really like the Flames to rock multiple alternates and/or introduce new ones very often, but I guess the marketing team sees this as a golden opportunity to generate jersey sales with McKenna joining next year.

Yeah the new Fanatics deal and restrictions on the first year now being done, and league rules relaxed around number of alternates and retros (like NFL and MLB) to get a bigger piece of merchandising pie.
With the new building being a new start after 44 years in the old one, a lot of things can be updated, so wait until then.

Can’t we just be like the Red Wings or Canadiens and just never touch our current home and away? Do whatever you want with thirds but leave our current set alone for life.
