Outside of beating the Oilers in 2006, I just find everything about the Hurricanes boring. Boring logo, boring sweater, boring team!! They went from the all time best logo in Hartford to the all time mind numbingly boring logo in Carolina.

I voted for the Islanders. That Hamonic trade was a huge whiff by the Flames. I also can't say I was a fan of the way Lamoriello ran things. Aside from that the Islanders are just boring on and off the ice.

But they did beat the Oilers and have one thing going for them. Carolina has some good players, was involved in a couple big trades last year. Calgary has had some trades with them.

What has Columbus ever done? Like I said, they could vanish and no one would even notice.

They "stole" Johnny from us. If Gaudreau stayed, Tkachuk might have stayed too and everything could turn out differently

I pity Columbus because of their prolonged sub-mediocrity that closely relates to Calgary. Despite this, this non-traditional small market has survived and remained relatively stable. Plus, they are the team of Monahan and the late-Johnny Gaudreau.

Carolina is a well-built team. They don't rely on lottery wins. Rather, they're strong with asset management, drafting, and development. Again, they're a non-traditional market that has managed to survive. Plus, they took a cup from the Oilers.

Nothing against the Islanders, but I'm quite fond of both Columbus and Carolina.

Biased towards liking Carolina because that's where I live now. Can always thank them for 2006 too. Columbus has a special place in my heart for the way they handled the death of Gaudreau. I would hope they are the least hated team from Calgary for that reason alone.

I am also salty the Isles and Utah won the lottery when we were so close to winning one of the spots, so Isles by default.
