As per usual ...

1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.

			Yeah Brzustewicz for me.
A nod to a great pro season and still playing a premium position to edge out the other first rounders.

Bruz here. Wonder if Potter starts getting votes after.

I went with Brz- there is a group of about 4-5 forwards here too, and likely 1-2 of them will end up higher ceiling than HB but I don't know which they are and he has a high ceiling himself

eyepopping numbers in the OHL D+1, acquitted himself well in the AHL as a young player D+2 and didn't look out of place (admittedly in a mop up game) in his NHL debut

 good prospect

I went with Potter here, as I think he has the highest ceiling (1LW or 2C). Some scouts had Potter above Reschny, and as high as the 6th-ranked talent in the 2025 draft.

I went Gridin. I like the back story. Family goes all in and sends him to North America super young. I think he's ultra dedicated to succeed. Or he'll crash from the internal pressure.

Voted for Basha. He's exactly what the Flames need in terms of carrying the puck in transition, and making zone entries look easy. I love watching the kid use his speed and hands. He also has the ability to create scoring chances out of nothing.
My next 4 in no particular order: Gridin, Mews, Potter, Brzustewicz

			Potter.
Played NCAA as a 17yr old and excelled. Undersized but highly skilled with a good motor.

You know what's awesome... we have such a rich pipeline of prospects. There are double-digit potential NHL'ers in that open list above, and that doesn't even include Parekh or Reschny.

Went Brz for the reasons echoed above.I'll be voting Potter next, followed by some of our top W prospects (Battaglia, Suniev...).

If voting trends are any indication, Gridin is gaining momentum.
I am surprised that Battaglia isn't getting votes ahead of Gridin, Suniev, Basha (or Honzek obviously).

Battaglia, like Gridin, had over a point per game in his D+1 season, but was able to do it in a harder league (OHL). He plays a heavier, more pro game, & is trending upwards.

 Don't sleep on him.

Which prospect has the best combination of overall ability + a gamebreaking trait that could allow them to play in the NHL, and play up the lineup once there?
I'm going with Cullen Potter's combination of skill and speed.

Gridins got size, he's got wheels, he can shoot. So much to love about what he can bring to the Flames offense.

Yeah - I don't think he makes the team out of camp, because Parekh is going to get a spot, but I have little doubt he earns a spot at some point during the year.

Agreed, but his skating is not NHL ready yet. He's going to have a lot of work to do on that to make it.

The good news is that he's in the right organization with the right skating specialist to do that.

			Speaking of Skating
Wes Gilbertson has this to say about Gridin

	Quote:

		| Most would agree that Gridin is the Flames’ fastest forward prospect. |
He also quotes Conroy saying

“I just see a guy with size, speed, skill, a good shot. He has everything,” said Flames general manager Craig Conroy. “You watch his games, he’s an explosive skater. He had a goal where the puck got pushed ahead and he’s … ”

I went Potter as well based on upside .

Basha got consideration along with Gridin.

Out of all the prospects (excluding Zayne), I think Sam Honzek has the highest ceiling. Voting for him.

			Brzustewicz.
Ended the AHL regular season with 8 points in 9 games. Started the season with 2 points in 18 games. He’s figured it out, and I expect him to be in the AHL for most of the season, but a 1st call up on the D end if injuries arise.
