I think it could be any of:

Bruz
Gridin
Reschny

Went with Reschny as I think he has the highest star probability.

Tough call… but went Hunter. Easily could have voted Honzek or Cole though. This year I’m more leaning to NHL ready in my vote than potential it seems.

I like Honzek and Brzstewicz.

Need to see a year of progression from Reschny and Potter before ranking them this high

Went Reschny but then I'll likely go Gridin or Honzek

A bit of a tough call here already, as it's weighing prospect readiness vs. potential and Brzustewicz probably has the highest combined readiness + potential score of those remaining, but I went with Reschny for this round due to his ceiling;. I have a feeling we're going to look back and go "how the hell did we get him at pick 18?" in short order here.

Just my opinion but if the Flames prospect base is in the top half of the league as many of us seem to believe, then Honzek can't be in the top 3. Forget about NHL exhibition and focus on the bigger picture of what he's accomplished to date which is very unimpressive.

Had to go Honzek. Made the team last year. Half s point in the A in his d+2 season thats isnt bad in spite of some takes.

I think i have to go brewki, Reschny, gridin.

Honzo and brewki fighting for a spot, reschny on potential and ceiling, then gridin after the comments from huska last year.

Based on this you would think kerins would be next but i just dont see an nhl’r in kerins,, hope im wrong.
Boy stromgren is in tough.

He made the team last year?? Thats isn’t impressive?

What were people expecting from honzek? He was picked 16 not 6.

I have a gut feeling that one of Basha, Mews, or Battaglia is going to be in this spot next year.

I think the battaglia signing was a little under received .

Went Reschny, but honestly don’t see much difference between him and Potter at this point.

What does the bold even mean?

D+2 seasons in the AHL...

Zary: 53 games, 13, 14, 27, 41 pt pace
Honzek: 54 games, 8, 13, 21, 33 pt pace

So not a big difference. Honzek is bigger, faster, and is still growing into his body (bigger guys often take longer to develop). Sure, he has had a couple injuries, but unless they limit his abilities (they don't), that shouldn't change his upside.

Went with Reschny at #2.

3. Will vote Brz next round as I see him being a second pairing D man (similar ceiling to Anderson IMO).

4. Potter for his upside.

5. Battaglia I rate the highest of our potential top 6 wingers (along with Suniev, Basha & Gridin who also have that potential IMO).

Post draft I had Gridin #2 still but after reading more about Reschney, I voted for him here. Pretty cool that there's at minimum 3 very valid candidates in this slot.

Reschny- understand this could be shiny new thing phenomenon but of the list -he's essentially even with Honzek as highest draft position, and I'm of the opinion that he's 2nd half of the season and playoff production is a real reflection of things to come. I'm optimistic on this player!

I vote for who is the closest to make NHL, so Honzek is my vote. I think he will make the team and will play 3rd line C or 2nd line winger, especially if Kadri is traded during the season.
