Wouldn't a hot take be more along the lines of "Rogers should demand an investigation into the officiating in the Stanley Cup Final to see why the Oilers didn't get more powerplays to try and recover the losses for the Oilers finally bring the Cup back to Canada commercials that they paid for but can't use now."

Crosby gets traded to the Habs for Laine, both their 1sts, and 2nds this year and their 1st next year.
McDavid says he is going to play this season out and not make up his mind until after next season.

Flames takes:
- Vladar stays in Calgary with a small raise and a promise to be traded should another team start looking for a potential #1
- Andersson gets traded on July 1, after Ekblad is off of the board
- Flames do not sign a UFA and yet are declared winners of UFA day by Flames fans.
Around the league:
- Marner goes to the Blackhawks after a bidding war
- Bennett and Ekblad get extended by the Panthers to chase dynasty status.
- The Oilers fanbase starts to freak out on July 2nd with increasing panic every day that McDavid walks toward UFA.
- Pens fire sale their vets to secure the bottom spot in the league. Once Crosby waives his NMC the rest of the core (Malkin, Letang, Karlsson, etc.) all ask to go.
