Habs Draft recap
First and foremost the Habs would like to apologize for the extremely slow drafting as I was the type of GM that I would normally be cursing at under my breath. To say this week is hectic is an understatement. I’m a big draft fan- my favourite part of the league so I didn’t want to miss out.
#5 - Anton Frondell - was weighing the option here of Frondell or Martone. I was in early on Martone but the more I learned about Frondell the more I felt he was the right pick here. Will be interesting to see where Frondell ends up in the draft.
#22 Cullen Potter - I was a lot higher on Potter than many lists. I was going to hope for him to fall to the 32 spot, but instead I just took the guy I wanted. Cameron Reid was the other big consideration in this spot.
#32 Will Horcoff - physical beast with NHL bloodlines. I felt at this spot I would roll the dice as I strongly feel Horcoff will be an NHLer in the future.
#33 Will Moore - fun fact Potter, Horcoff and Moore formed a line together in the USA development program. Moore is a lanky player who is still growing into his body. He has top 6 upside so I felt he was worth the gamble.
That is all our picks- so I promise that I will not slow the draft down anymore! However I will be around for trade talks all weekend!
