Not shocking, especially since the Flames didnt make the playoffs and the Habs did

Pretty happy Wolf finished 2nd. I actually thought he may finish 3rd as Celebrini had a pretty nice season himself and the hype of being a 1st overall pick.

3 voters didn't even give Wolf a Top 5 vote. Hmmm, wonder which team they are associated with.

Hutson finished tied for 4th in all time points for a rookie d-man. Every other d-man, until you get Q. Hughes at 15th, set their mark during the high scoring late 70s-early 90s era. 2nd on the Canadiens in TOI/game.

Love Wolf, but this was far from robbery.

Could be two teams TBH knowing their histories.

Well deserved

Hutson was very impressive to watch. The Habs are going to have a good core to build on for a while now, with him anchoring the D. (Still can’t believe Tre traded a first with Monahan, then they got another first when they traded him, but that’s another story)

Wolf padded his stats against bottom feeders. Got the job done but his deployment was curated

I think it was a proper ranking ultimately. As a side note I didn’t realize Stankoven is a rookie. Thought he was in the league a few years now. He’s going to be good.

We all knew this was gonna happen. Maybe if we snuck into the playoffs the voting might've been a bit different

It has been one hell of a rookie class this year. Hutson, Wolf and Celebrini would have each been winners had they been in different years. Michkov I felt would have only won in a weak year - maybe it was Torts, or maybe not, but I stopped looking at him as a consideration halfway through the season.

Yeah that’s a bit sketchy but fortunately it’s not like the Iggy thing. Hutson got 165 first place votes to Wolf’s 15

In the end the voting is probably right - Hutson did some things as a rookie d-man that haven't been seen in years.

In the end the frustrating part is that the Flames should have had both...Hutson was clearly the pick over Ronni at the time of that draft.

Some voters really focus too much on age. Could be the reason
Interesting though no one outside the top 4 got a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place vote.

I think we should focus on the fact that our rookie goalie finished 2nd for ROTY. That is an incredible accomplishment for a player that doesn't even play every game.

I am very excited to see what he can do going forward.

Having said that, should we trade him now so we can do a proper tank? (ducks)

And was drafted 214th overall.
