That's a great deal for Dallas.

So now they have $450k to sign Bourque, + 2 more forwards.

Or one or both of Seguin & Hintz are on LTIR.

An ok deal I guess. He was terrible in the playoffs though but with this cap hit it shouldn't hurt them.

With the lack of cap space Dallas has, the Robertson trade rumors make a lot of sense

For the entire season? I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.

Maybe they really are trading Robertson, and keeping Granlund

He's not a difference maker when it's crunch time, seen yet again this year in the playoffs. It's been a hallmark of his career. Colorado bailed on him at a young age despite his production.

Terrible in the playoffs, but this is hard to pass up.

They need to make a move, would love to see Conroy take advantage of them.

Ras and Coleman 50% RS

for

Dumba, Marchment, Bourque, Bischel and unprotected 1st in 2027

When Robertson and Harley get paid next summer, that 1st could be a good one.

Duchene isn't young either. Seguin has 2 years left too.

I'm pretty sure Duchesne is getting north of $6.5M this season from Nashville for his buyout. So, this upcoming season, he is an $11M player, and then a sweetheart three year deal.

Duchene is a great signing. Permanent fixture in the middle 6 and can play both C/W. Basically their Pavelski 2.0.

Bourque + 2 only gets them to 12. No room for that extra forward to jump in during minor injuries.

Not to mention their need to sign the other RFA, Lundkvist, who is likely expecting a small raise on his last contract and has arbitration rights... (although being injured last season does not help his argument).

I hope the Flames find a way to 'help' the stars fix their cap situation. If not just an offer sheet to Bourque then maybe a trade to take Dumba off their hands along with Bourque for future considerations.

Robertson is likely looking for that $12+ million contract too.

$12M+ is about right for a 25 year old three time 80+ point producer.

After game 1, the whole Dallas team just laid over. Rantanen had 19 points in 13 games before going into the Edmonton series....3 points in 5 games. No big games.

The Stars had a big team that should have been leaning into Edmonton, but instead just rolled over.

Physical forwards like Benn and Marchment just took the series off. Dallas was brutal, without any explanation for why.
