Who’s our next diamond in the rough?
A player that seemingly comes out of nowhere (Pospisil, Ferland, Klapka, Jooris, Kirkland) to make a big impact on our team? Usually a player way down our depth charts but suddenly takes a huge step.
Any inklings of who this next guy might be for us? The no namer that Iggy was mostly responsible for drafting for us?

I know he was a high pick, but really hoping Sam Honzek has that sort of Blake Wheeler late bloomer trajectory and becomes a core piece for us instead of fizzling out

Whoever plays for close to league minimum and throws 3+ body checks in his first game. He will be a sensation, until next season when someone else does it first. Rinse, repeat. The cycle gets paused if this phenom also scores a goal in the first month of the season. Then they get a 2 year window instead of just 1.

I’m also on the Basha train. He looked good last training camp as well. I won’t be surprised if he sees NHL action this year.
