Default The Amazing Race 37 -- Starts March 5, 2025
The Amazing Race is finally returning for its 37th season. Once again, the episodes will be 90 minutes long and will air following Survivor.

This season, there will be 14 teams, which should allow them to truly have no non-elimination legs, without any "keep racing" pit stops or double-length legs.

I believe it has consistently had better ratings when paired with Survivor than it has without. I think it has also done better than anything else they have paired with Survivor over the years.

Also, with the switch to 90 minute episodes, it's easier to run them together and fill three hours of prime time (and get 3 hours of ad revenue) for basically the same production costs as they used to pay for 2 hours of prime time.

God, I do not care for these 90 minute episodes. Nothing like watching somebody cry in a rice paddy for 20 unnecessary minutes. We missed a ton of seasons when our kids were born and we're catching up now... a 45 minute episode is all killer no filler.
