They never quit. Have to admire the attitude the team has.

Updated races ...

Top Ten Pick:

Flames need to go 0-8-1 or .056

Playoff Spot:

Flames need to go 7-2-0 or .778

Draft Position Landing:

Draft positions 11-15 and 20-21 seem unlikely. Looks like 16 or 19 to me.

Code:
Draft	Spot Win %	Pace	Now Pts	Tie %
11	22	0.507	83.1	82	1	0.056
12	21	0.520	85.3	82	3	0.167
13	20	0.521	85.4	82	3	0.167
14	19	0.527	86.4	82	4	0.222
15	18	0.527	86.5	82	4	0.222
16	17	0.547	89.8	82	8	0.444
17	16	0.562	92.1	82	10	0.556
18	15	0.572	93.9	82	12	0.667
19	14	0.575	94.4	82	12	0.667
20	13	0.580	95.1	82	13	0.722
21	12	0.587	96.2	82	14	0.778
Gap to Florida:

Back to 7 draft positions

This is far from a worst case scenario in my opinion.

Yeah, they either miss the playoffs and are 15 or 16 (there's a small chance that 1 team catches them, and they slip to 14, but that's about it),

Or they make the playoffs, and they are 17 or 18 (with a small chance they climb all the way to 19).

15-18, that's the window now. Very little chance of anything else. So "go to playoffs, let's go!"

Oh, and there is still a chance of passing FLA - we need the following:
1) FLA doesn't win the division
2) we make the playoffs
3) we make the 3rd round

If those things happen, MTL would get FLA's pick. But then, we will pick in the mid-20s anyway, so it makes no difference, as far as the pick goes.

I just hope we can pass New Jersey in the overall standings. That way, we’re not sending our best pick to Montreal. Probably means we make the playoffs too.

In order for them to fall out of the playoffs, they have to be caught by 3 teams, and one of those 3 has to be in the division (either NYR or CBJ). No chance unless the Devils lose out (and even then, it might not happen).

But if the Flames make the playoffs, the 2 teams both probably pick in the 18-19 range.

Apologies, should be 18-19 if they make the playoffs (because if they do, MTL or whoever, won't have caught them).

So 15-16 if they don't make it, 18-19 if they do.
