Default Flames 2 Rangers 1

Flames 2 Rangers 1

- Kadri and Coronato with the goals
- Vladar gives up one goal
- Flames erase bad Toronto memory
- Back in it?

Looking at the replay, JT (not Ryan) got nutted so his reaction makes sense.

Watching the game, I thought it was Calgary's best game of the year, and as dominant a win as the Toronto loss was the opposite.

I'm glad the advanced stats agreed.

I think the Flames showed a lot of jump and effort especially after playing the night before but what a horrible effort by the Rangers in front of their fans.

Flames move considerably towards the playoff lean and away from top ten with the win.

5-9-1 to get a top ten spot (.367)

8-5-2 to edge out Vancouver for the final playoff spot (.600).

Calgary needs to play .178 worse or .049 better.

Need the same effort the next three games that are all winnable

Devils are plagued with injuries
Islanders are similar to Flames in that the roster isn't great but they are hanging around
Kraken are locked into the bottom 10.

Need at least 4/6 points in these next three games but ideally more.

Agreed ...

go 2-0-1 so you only need to go 6-5-1 the rest of the way.

They may still get this thing to work but their chances are slowly slipping away.

Even if do wind up mucky middle, the players (especially the young players) have spent an entire season being competitive.

They aren't toiling away knowing from game 50 onwards that they're dead meat. They have to show up and play their balls off... and still have something to play for with only 15 games left.

That's a good lesson, and a better environment to develop in than one where the veterans are going through the motions and it doesn't really matter what the coach says.

Like the Cunntry club atmosphere we've had here for SOOO long?

Yeah, I'd like it if we simply competed like we were in a fight and the other guy has some bruises and broken shirt too.

Now that's an identity I can get on board with. Not like what's happening in Edmonton.
We earn EVERY thing
