At least they made it slightly interesting in the 3rd.

At least we scored two goals. That’s an achievement

You go up against a team much better than you - this is what happens.

Need to have a successful road trip, or kiss the playoffs goodbye...

It’s expected but closer than I thought. Leafs game will be tough and the Rangers also cause of the B2B. But who knows.

I don't understand why our defensemen keep skating towards Wolf when he is handling the puck behind the net.

Your goalie is an elite puckhandler. Skate to the corner and give him an option for the pass.

Sigh. Avs good. Flames .. decent, but not good enough.

We need more talent.

Hopefully Saginaw bows out early.

We deserve our own Makar.

Flames might be out by four points(with two games in hand) by the time they play next.

That loss on Wednesday stings so much more now.

If you take this hard working team and add an offensively gifted, puck moving Dman who happens to be setting some records in the OHL I would bet that the puck starts going in a whole lot more. I hope Parekh can figure it out. It would help zone exits and rushes immensely.

Once again I can't complain about the effort and heart. The foundation is being laid for how they want this team to play in the future. Just need some offensive talent.

They made it interesting in the 3rd at least. But man those first two periods were brutal

No idea if this is common but seems incredible to have a -21 goal differential and be in a playoff spot. Whoever gets the last one is falling ass backwards into one.

This was up for the taking if the Flames put in a 60 minute effort. Also a waste of the luckiest bounce they will get all season.

Hopefully they can carry the 3rd period momentum into the Leafs game.

Well, that was a better game than I was expecting, though a W would have been nice.

On to the next one.

Flames either need to start stringing some wins or losses together real quick.

Team needs talent. You can argue that they came out flat to start the game, or that Colorado just matched their effort and were essentially completely neutralizing them. Flames found a way to make it interesting. They just don't have the necessary talent, size, or speed. Loved their moxie in the third, however.

The top end of the west is scary good. Colorado has the high end talent, size (including down the middle), defence, and decent goaltending. Not sure I pick them ahead of Dallas, Vegas or Winnipeg, but I don't know if I would pick anyone ahead of Colorado either. It is going to be an amazing playoffs in the west this year.

At least 2 more losses coming right up if I were a betting person but as I noted earlier who knows they might surprise in one of those

Zary owes us a few goals whe he’s back

I don't know. 3 of the series are shaping up to be very interesting (CEN2v3, CEN1v2/3, CF), but the other 4 could be duds.

TBH I blame the lineup decisions.

You're not going to win when you're dressing all of Hunt, Rooney, Lomberg, Klapka, Miromanov, and Hanley.

Team really missed Backlund, Zary, and Pachal IMO.

You lost two skilled forwards and replaced them with grinders instead of Kerins (and his 4 points in 5 NHL games) and scratched one of your most steady guys.

You kind of expect to lose to the Avs. This is why you need to beat the teams below you, especially when you have a lead in the third period.
