I am no prospect expert, but it feels like - for the first time in a long time - the Flames have 8-12 future NHL'ers in the pipeline.

That 24 draft really restocked the pool with some real talented players. Absolute home run of a draft

Basha way too low on both their lists IMO. I know he’s coming off a major injury but there’s an argument there that he might be our best forward prospect in the pipeline right now. I think he’ll surprise some people next year.

I have a hard time ranking Battaglia. Every list I see seems to have him too low, but then it is hard to push him ahead of some of the others. I think he is going to be a pretty good NHL'er.

It's highlight bias I guess, but I also think Basha is too low. Injuries a factor of course.

Honzek is a project but he's not far off from guys like Ciona for me at this point. Bottom-six upside and still far away.
If he were a second rounder he wouldn't even be on the radar.

I'd put Basha as high as 5th. Reminds me a lot of Jake Guentzel.
I don't get the love for Honzek. He's had flashes, but is still a long way from NHL ready and didn't look that great in the AHL last year. I know that development may take a little longer for the taller guys, but I don't know that I have him in my top 10 right now.

Some are sleeping on Misa and Mews, but it's pretty tight in the top 10. Would be easier to make a top 15 due to the depth.

I think they have 8-12 potential future NHL’ers.
No current prospect pool will deliver that many, unless you count cups of coffee.

yeah the fact that some names- Sergeev for example, haven't made a single list , combined with 2 firsts (probably) suggests a pretty impressive list about 15 deep by this summer (and of course a couple of guys who end up like 27th who end up as NHLers)

Honzek has always felt like a guy who is obviously toolsy, which is easy to fall in love with. However outside of the pre-injury portion of draft year, the production has never really been there for a guy of his supposed skill and stature. Tools are great unless the big one you're missing is the sense/processing speed, which kind of nullifies (edit: limits) the rest of it to a large extent.
I'd go:
1. Parekh
2. Gridin
3. Battaglia
4. Brzustewicz
5. Basha (injury factors in here for me, love his game though)
6. Morin
7. Suniev
8. Mews
9. Misa
10. Honzek
