Oh good, another excellent defensive and puck possession team as an opponent for a Flames offense that has hit a brick wall. Should be fun...

Flames need a win, they also need to generate scoring chances,,
Last couple of games were easy for the other goalie

How bad is our division tho. Colorado in wild card is 4 points behind Vegas lol.
Blues and Utah are now tied or a point behind us.

I don’t know how they can pull it off, but the Flames need to grind the Hurricanes down and try to win a boring trap game. Would love to see some of the advertised sandpaper Farabee was supposed to bring. I was intrigued by the cobbled together line of Kadri-Zary-Pospisil that was put out late in the 3rd yesterday. Anyways, Go Flames Go!

I’m all for giving Farabee a pretty long leash to reset, get acclimated, find his way, whatever you want to call it. Not everyone adapts to change the same way. I like to see some people ease up on him.

Frost has at least looked decent and shows signs of skill and ability he’s just inconsistent. Farabee on the other hand is not very good. It’s like he’s never held a hockey stick in his life.
No wonder we got them for dirt cheap. I’d try Pospisil with Frost and Zary.

We'll somehow claw this one out, probably with an impressively solid effort, thus making conroy's decision for approach to the TDL more difficult/delayed.
It cannot be argued that we aren't in with a legit shot of making the playoffs. It's wild that no one seems to want to make that last spot theirs. I think it was Nashville who were pretty brave last year and sold even though they were in with a shot. I'm not saying we're in the same boat or that Connie will be wrong whichever way he decides to go but it's poop or get off the pot time soon.

It was interesting hearing Steinberg’s take on it on the post game show on the fan960. Paraphrasing, Steinberg said both Frost and Farabee have a lot of “trauma” from Torts and believes will need till next November/December to truly judge the trade. Hearing that, I’m okay giving him some time, but both have currently looked ‘meh’ in their tenure so far.
Big 2 points on the line tonight. Crazy to see the standings, we are a few losses away from a top 10 pick and few wins away from a playoff spot. Going to be an interesting trade deadline and finish to the season.
Go Flames Go!

Clearly the eye test and the fancy stats test have not been aligning for me on Solovyov. I’ll have to watch more intently.
On Farabee, I’ve liked his wheels on the forecheck. The whole team can’t generate offense, he’ll come around.
Would like to see Frost elevated more. He’s the only guy that can make plays in traffic right now.
